Coinciding with the International Day of Recycling, which is celebrated on May 17, Iberia has launched a press release and an advert in different radios to disseminate the implementation of the LIFE Zero Cabin Waste Project on their flights.

The press release highlights the implementation of on-board waste separation on all long-haul Iberia flights and the progressive implementation that is being carried out on national and European flights, being completed by the end of June. This action is illustrated with the video #Iberiarecycle – Zero Cabin Waste, sited in the YouTube channel of Iberia;

In addition, in the press release, the results achieved in waste reduction are mentioned. Currently, thanks to various measures taken to reduce press and packaging, it has been possible to achieve a 5% reduction in waste compared to 2016.

The content of the press release has been published in more than a dozen national media of generalist nature and specialized in aviation sector.

On the other hand, the radio advert broadcast in Intereconomia, Cadena Cope and Esradio, it says; “Today is International Recycling Day. Iberia has launched the LIFE Zero Cabin Waste Project to recycle the waste that is collected on board, thus avoid emitting more than 4,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. Iberia, for a more sustainable planet”.
